My computer out of a dialog box

Users questions: From the start last night, I double-click on the desktop MozillaFirefor after the two came up with a dialog box that under: Firefox is already running, but no response. To open a new window, you must now close the Firefox process, or restart your system. OK I have to restart the computer or out of these, how is it? How should I do? There is a little computer icon in the lower right corner there is a shallow box inside a small torch. I put the mouse arrow on the top line will be out of character: Java (TM) Platform, StandardE dition how should I get ah. Thank you!
